ChristmasMousePad.com is the work of Jay Ter Louw — an artist who believes the holidays deserve more than generic clip art.
Where the art comes from
Jay Ter Louw started painting during the 2020 Covid epidemic, beginning with illustrations for his re-translation of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam and progressing through whimsical images with a deeper meaning — full of character, color, and detail.
The idea for ChristmasMousePad.com came from the desire to give some little gift to about 20 of his co-workers, something besides a gift card or another coffee mug. He took some of his art, made sure it carried a message that people could appreciate, and gave them something they could really use every day. They loved it!
Every design in the collection is original artwork, sometimes based on public domain works or personal photographs, but always hand-crafted illustrations by Jay that happen to be the perfect size for your mouse.

A mouse pad sits in front of you for eight hours a day. It should be worth looking at. Each design is composed to hold your attention without demanding it — something you notice differently every few weeks.
Stories you already know
The Walrus and the Carpenter. A little frog in a red coat. An angel weeping at sunset. Jay draws from the deep well of literature, poetry, and hymn — images that carry meaning before you even know why.
